    ARE YOU MAN ENOUGH PHIL?

Well at least we know where Hazel Blears will retire to after the next election.

Miss Blears has been using public money to pay for foreign language training and “professional development”, it has emerged.

She used departmental funds for a “handful” of Spanish lessons, her spokesman confirmed

Her job does not require it, and there are almost no Spanish speakers in her constituency, however, if she were thinking of a job with the EU commission, the job all failed Labour politicians prefer, or she was thinking of bunking in with horny Phil, this would all make sense.

Labour polititions are like Robert Maxwell, they think public money is theirs to spend how they please

My Survivor Series Prediction: EDGE WILL MAKE HIS RETURN

Sunday, November 23, 2008, 04:36 AM EST [General]

That is my only prediction at this point.  I don't know what the outcome will be with Cena and Y2J.  It is in Cena's hometown, but I expect Cena to lose again in Boston.   And I could care less about the rest of the card.  But what my main focus is on is Edge.

That's right.  Did any of yall watch Survivor Series last year?  10 years ago last year Bret got screwed, and 10 years later last year at Survivor Series, the fans got screwed.  It was supposed to be THE culmination of one of the greatest rivalries in SD history, when Undertaker and Batista fought inside Hell in a Cell.  It WAS a great match, but it also marked one of the most controversial returns in WWE history.  You know what I'm talking about.  When Edge, dressed up as an unkept cameraman, interfered and stole the show at the same time.  He bashed Taker with a camera, and set up a rivalry that would carry out until Summerslam 2008.  Like it or not, Edge is a HUGE draw, and maybe the biggest heel in the business today.  That's why I expect nothing less from him this year.

Think about it.  He's poised to return anytime he wants.  Edge has been gone since Summerslam,  but where will he come back if he does return?  Will he go to SD and "insert" himself back in some old business, or will he interfere with the Raw main event?  Any guess is a good one at this point.  But I fully predict Edge to make a return to WWE today at Survivor Series.  Because something has to happen.  Something different.  I, and many of you are disgruntled with the product of WWE today.  As stated before, Edge is a huge draw.  Where he goes, ratings follow.  So why not make it two years in a row, Edge?

    ARE DOOMED TO REPEAT IT!

David E. Sanger, writing in the New York Times, wrote

portraying herself as a hawkish Democrat and defending her decision to vote in favor of the 2002 resolution that Mr. Bush later considered an authorization to use military force against Saddam Hussein. (Later, she said she fully expected Mr. Bush to use diplomacy first — and was shocked that he did not.)

A GM Raw can be pround of

Sunday, November 23, 2008, 03:40 AM EST [General]

Well let me just say this no way in hell is JBL or a Machon a proper GM for Raw not to be disrespectful to them. Raw had a great thing going when they had Eric Bischoff as a GM even when he was a CO-GM with Austin. After they canned Bischoff the GM's of Raw have been advreage at best. So I came up with a list of a couple of more then suitable candidates for Raw's GM.

Fist idea is Jim Ross. I know that he is like the best announcer that the WWE has ever had next to the King but I think he would do well as a GM.

Or you can have Stone cold Steve Austin as a GM. He would not only hyave great ideas for tittle matches but also non tittle matches. He would all so make Raw's rateing make WCW's rateing look like a joke.

Well my last idea for a GM would be the nature boy Ric Flair. I really dont think that i would need to tell you guys why Flair would be a great GM.

Why would Brown risk an election?

Sunday, November 23, 2008, 08:13 AM GMT [Politics]

I don't get all the talk about Labour cashing in on their polls.

Look at the man himself. He's got the job he's always wanted. He believes he knows what he's doing. Nobody can touch him until 2010. Even Charles Clarke has caved in.

An election couldn't possibly increase Labour's majority anyway.

Bear in mind too that he hates change. He is happiest with what he thinks he knows. And he's not interested in advice.

So get used to it. We're stuck with this lot for 18 months, come rain or come rain.

Brown has two choices: to hang on to the bitter end in the hope he recovers some of the lost ground (as he regrettably appears to be doing) or, he can put the 'party' first and call a snap election whenever the polls seem vaguely favourable - with the intention of a damage limitation exercise.

Given that Nuzanulab are gaining ground on the Conservatives, why would Brown risk throwing away further recovery in the polls?

    Rick,

Their lack of substance - especially on financial issues - has been exposed. Brown knows they are vulnerable in this area and it's his strongest card to play.

The Conservatives need an experienced heavy hitter like Ken Clark to get them back on the offensive.

I am sure that Labour planners Mandelson and Alistair Campbell are weighing these things in the balance right now. Brown cannot back his own judgement as we have seen.
I have already said expect an election in the Spring. I have not changed my mind.

    Hypocrisy of "Strictly" judges

Sunday, November 23, 2008, 08:05 AM GMT [General]

It was sickening to see the hypocrisy of the "Strictly" judges last night. Last week they slated John Sergeant for his dancing, and couldn't wait to get rid of him; this week they were all crying crocodile tears because he had decided to quit. Good old John got his own back when, during his sppech, he thanked the judges for whipping up all the support that he and Christina had received over the weeks. John, you retired with great dignity; we are all sorry to see you go. We are proud of you!
